Rihanna Steps Out With a New Take on the Naked Shoe
It’s been a minute since Rihanna has been spotted out and about. While she’s been busy promoting her Savage x Fenty and Fenty Beauty lines—and also working on new music to come out in 2019—she’s been giving her usual dressed-to-the-nines outings a rest. Until today! The pop star was spotted stepping out in London, and while she kept her ensemble classic, she debuted a new take on an increasingly popular footwear style that felt entirely new.
On her feet, Rihanna wore a pair of pointy pumps by Gianvito Rossi in pink tinted PVC, with a secured ankle strap. Revealing just a hint of her nail polish underneath, it proved to be a more subtle counterpart to the clear plastic, bare-everything Yeezy heels we’ve seen on celebs such as Kim Kardashian West and Kendall Jenner—a way to dip your toe into the naked shoe trend, if you will.
Given the trendy heels, she wore a classic body-hugging black dress with a long silky jacket over top. (Like a more refined version of an Alpha M-1 flight jacket, with its neon orange lining.) She then carried a small top-handle bag in black patent—not the super tiny style that has been spotted on loads of celebrities, but ultra chic and perfectly compact for a night out.
