  • Rihanna shut down fans demanding a new album in 2021.

  • Rihanna's last album release was 2016's Anti.

Rihanna has time, ok? Impatient fans flooded her recent Instagram post, demanding a new album. FYI, RiRi's last album release was 2016's Anti. It's been almost five years since we've gotten new music from the queen that gave us "Work" and "Umbrella." Like, I get why fans want new music, but also, can we just let her live?

Rihanna posted photos of her posing in front of a pool with the caption, "new year’s resolution: apply the pressure." One fan wrote in response, "Resolution should be releasing the album." To that, Rihanna replied, "this comment is sooo 2019. grow up," and then added "2021 energy." Ooop!

Celebrity stylist and deputy creative director of Fenty Jahleel Weaver also jumped in the comments. "Speaking of pressure, it's the album for me," he commented. Ri wrote a simple, "phuck you." I'm guessing this was jokingly written, but ya really never know!

Other fans expressed a similar sentiment. "And drop the mf album while you at it," one user wrote. Another added, "Another album?" One fan was more aggressive, writing, "WHERE IS THE R9 SIS!"

Let's remember that it's not like Rihanna has disappeared just because she hasn't released new music. ICYMI, she's running an empire. She started Fenty Beauty, which she co-owns, along with her Savage X Fenty lingerie line. Oh, and she recently released Fenty Skin products, so... why don't y'all just chill.

I'm sure when RiRi is ready to release new music, she will (and it will be fire, btw). Until then, I'll be rocking all the merch/products she's made. I suggest you do the same.
