Rihanna Showed Off Her Leg Hair on Instagram, and the Internet Loves It
Fenty beauty founder and all-around goddess Rihanna has captured our summer 2018 moods in just a few Instagram pictures.
On Wednesday, the singer took to social media to share three selfies of herself in swimwear, her hair down in carefree beach waves and the sun streaming onto her makeup-free face. "When u can’t wait for summer," she captioned the pics. But eagle-eyed fans noticed that Rihanna was making a statement about more than enthusiasm for warm weather. In the au naturel photos, there is visible stubble on her legs and what appear to be stretch marks on her thighs. After one fan lauded Rihanna for showing off her "tiger stripes" (or stretch marks), Riri clarified, however, writing, "I got stretch marks but that's just the sun 😂."
The comments section of the post is filled with people thanking Rihanna for presenting herself so authentically. "😍😍😘when I’ve been insecure all the time about showing my stretch marks on my lil booty, you just gave me hope hunny ❤️❤️ love you always," wrote one user, as Hello Giggles reported. Many others simply shared hearts and heart-eye emojis, which say plenty on their own.
Rihanna has always been unapologetic about openly sharing the "real" her. Last year, when trolls tried to body-shame her in the comments section of a post on a fan account, she responded by simply writing, "Somebody called me too fat? 😂😂😂."
Her refreshing bikini photos came less than a week after she released the first advertisement for her forthcoming lingerie collection, Fenty x Savage, in which a model gets real about her own body. "I think I feel most sexy...in the morning. Rolls. Stretch marks. Cellulite," the model says in the clip. The line is meant to be worn by women of all shapes, sizes, and body types, with bras up to 44D and panties up to a 3X.
