Rihanna Reported for Bridesmaid Duty at Her Best Friend’s Wedding in Barbados

Rihanna was a bridesmaid in her friend's Barbados wedding this weekend. It's not the first time she's been in a bridal party.

This Saturday, the most popular wedding day of 2018, saw people around the world saying “I do.” Even more people were standing at the altar as bridesmaids and groomsmen—including the one and only Rihanna.

The singer was a bridesmaid in her friend Sonita Alexander’s wedding in Barbados. Photos show Rihanna wearing a long blue dress, her hair slicked back in a low ponytail. She held a bouquet of white and purple flowers.

She also shared getting ready snaps on her Instagram, including some that showed off a silk robe with “bridesmaid” emblazoned on the back.

When the couple drove off in a vintage car, Rihanna was seen cheering.

However, there was one wedding tradition she seemed to avoid: the bouquet toss. A video circulating around Twitter shows Rihanna ducking out of the way when the flowers come towards her.

It’s not the first time Rihanna has been tapped for wedding duty. In 2015, she was part of her assistant’s bridal party. She posted a photo from the Hawaii nuptials—which took place on 4/20—of her smoking on the beach in a low-cut lavender gown.
