Rihanna and Melissa Forde Take Vacation Fashion to The Next Level

After a year spent launching lingerie, expanding her beauty empire, starring in a blockbuster movie, and continuing her reign as one of the world’s best-dressed women, Rihanna has more than earned a break. The superstar is ending 2018 with rest and relaxation in Los Cabos, Mexico where she’s been enjoying time with her best friend Melissa Forde. In between sun bathing and hitting up the spa, the pair shared a blissful social media update this morning that proves they’re enjoying every minute of their off-time. Captioned with a cheeky line about “unnecessarily fake-deep inspirational” quotes, Rihanna’s Instagram snapshot featured herself and Forde in glamorous vacation gear.

With Forde in a sequin-covered white blazer dress and Rihanna sporting fringed metallic snakeprint and giant gold hoops, they didn’t skimp on the glitz, and yet the defining quality of their outfits was comfort. In dancing beach front Boomerang videos and playful Instagram stories, Forde’s love of monochromatic pieces and streamlined silhouettes was just the right foil to Rihanna’s maximalist flair.
