Perhaps no one is better suited for a literal boldfaced beauty dare than Rihanna. Bad Girl RiRi took on such a feat for her latest Elle magazine cover, released today, showcasing a face decorated with lavender, heart-shaped makeup. Shine bright like a diamond, she did. Yes, it totally sounds funky, but trust us on this one that you will most definitely *heart* the look.

The latest issue of Elle, which serves as the pop star’s sixth cover issue, features Rihanna as she “Feels the Love” in addition to celebrating the magazine’s 2017 Personal Style Awards. Included in the “love” Rihanna is feeling today is no doubt for her latest beauty foray: her all-new Fenty Beauty line launches at the stroke of midnight tonight.

As it so happens, RiRi’s lavender heart beauty look is crafted from her coveted makeup line. If you’re lucky enough to shop the Fenty Beauty collection, available at both Fenty Beauty and Sephora online, *before* it sells out, then you’ll want to get your hands on Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation and Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick in Unicorn.

Inside the glossy’s pages, the 29 year old answers questions from the mag in addition to some of her A-list pals, including David Copperfield, Olivia Wilde, Pharrell Williams, Tyra Banks, and more. And in the process, she fessed up to how lipstick used to get her in big trouble as a kid (RiRi’s got a long history with killer lipsticks, going back to her MAC Ruby Woo tint, mind you).

“Lipstick always got me in trouble,” she told Elle.

“Whether it was at home as a kid, or my early teenage years in my career, I always had the urge to wear it. So I broke all those rules. Now lipstick is like my li’l secret weapon!”

Hey, she wouldn’t be Bad Girl RiRi if she didn’t break the rules.

As for Rihanna’s Elle cover — or should we say covers, considering there are three different covers for Elle U.S. and one for Portugal — you can find the U.S. version on newsstands September 19th.
