Rihanna's Alleged Stalker Was Arrested After Spending the Night at Her House

Double duty.

On Thursday, May 10, a man was arrested outside of Rihanna's Los Angeles home after allegedly breaking into her house and spending the night inside, TMZ reports. The singer-songwriter was not at home when the alleged break-in occurred.

The suspect, who was later identified as 26-year-old Eduardo Leon, was reportedly apprehended after police were called around 10 a.m. that morning, according to The Hollywood Reporter. LAPD spokesperson Rosario Herrera told THR that Leon was arrested on "suspicion of possible burglary." TMZ noted that officials later learned that Leon allegedly broke into another LA home on May 4, thinking it was Rihanna's. The outlet added that when police discovered this information, the suspect was reportedly charged with felony stalking.

Leon allegedly told police that he went to Rihanna's house "to have sex with her," and that his “plan was not to use force to make it happen." Yet nothing about his claim is OK: breaking and entering into someone’s home to have sex with them is still an act of force, and therefore an intention of sexual assault.

Consent is key in everything. It's crucial to remember that no one gets to decide to "have sex" with you (or any other sexual activity); you choose if you are comfortable with that, period.

According to TMZ, Leon is being held in jail on $150,000 bail. In addition to being charged with stalking, he also faces charges of residential burglary and trespassing.
