It's been four years since the most epic party that was supposed to ever happen...never happened. Yup, I'm talking about the infamous Fyre Festival that was founded (but never actually executed) by Billy McFarland and rapper Ja Rule. Although it's been a while since many documentaries came out that continued to pique the public's curiosity about what happened behind the scenes, now a famous tweet of the food served during the "festival" is being sold online.

ICYMI: Fyre Festival was a music festival set to take place in the spring of 2017 on the Great Exuma island in the Bahamas. It was promoted by stars like Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid but ultimately was a complete failure. The event was ultimately cancelled due to a plethora of communication issues behind the scenes, and rather than the gourmet food and villas guests were promised, they instead were given tents and sad packaged sandwiches.

Honestly, sandwiches is putting it nicely, and a viral tweet by Twitter user @trev4president showed exactly what guests were being provided: "The dinner that @fyrefestival promised us was catered by Steven Starr is literally bread, cheese, and salad with dressing," the tweet read. The accompanying photo shows two slices of wheat bread, two slices of cheese, and a handful of lettuce with one tomato on top. The image has since gone down in infamy, and Ja Rule's Flipkick platform is actually selling the rights to the image in an online auction.

The tweet will be sold as an NFT, a non-fungible token, which is a type of technology that acts as proof of ownership over something that isn't necessarily tangible. This NFT will include a transfer of copyright to the buyer and is being auctioned off on April 24. It is estimated that this NFT will go for about $80,000.

"Meme. Cultural touchstone. Cheese sandwich," the NFT's auction site description reads. "From an inauspicious dinner, photographer Trevor DeHaas captured the most iconic image from 2017's most famous debacle—the Fyre Festival. Two limp white slices on wheat bread lay, like the lifeless body of Icarus, bemoaning the hubris of man. A timeless image of inestimable cultural import sold now as a singular NFT."
