Riding "One Of The Deadliest Trails In The World"

There is something about riding along a cliff that makes any technicality in riding that much scarier.

Exposure even has pros like Rémy Métailler worried. Watch him ride along a huge cliff on the Portal Trail in Moab, Utah.

Portal is a world-famous trail in Moab known for its difficulty and high consequences. Oftentimes risks are overblown with mountain bike trails to keep people off them who might get hurt. Portal is aptly rated and maybe even underrated in that department. Perhaps Portal is a morbid reference to passing into the afterlife.

All it would take would be one bobble and you could fall to your death. And this has happened. Multiple people have lost their lives on the Portal trail.

Exposure is a form of technicality that Most riders can do without. Instead of challenging your riding skills, you are challenging yourself not to mess up with disastrous consequences.

If you do want to ride Portal, I am sure the views are amazing. Just make sure you are incredibly careful and that the person who rode the line below was scared of it.
