Rider Suffers 'Scariest Crash' Of His Career On Train Track Gap

Trying a feature for the first time can be a scary experience. Riders need to judge perfectly the speed to land in a small area.

Sometimes this can go awry. Watch Filip Dian come up short on an enormous gap over train tracks.

The size of this feature is truly haunting. There are other road gaps and train gaps out there in the world. The train gap in Pemberton is a rite of passage for freeriders, and still, it is far smaller than this one. Watch Caleb Holonko backflip it for reference below.

This train gap is noticeably bigger than Pemberton. Filip said that the gap was 22 meters or 72 feet! When he came up short from that distance, injury was inevitable.

All things considered, Dian came out of it okay. He “only” broke his femur. Though that is a devastating injury, with a fall like that, most viewers expected worse.

Filip is a freerider and trailbuilder at Slovakia’s Kalnica Bike Park. See an example of his work below
