This Rider Is Racing World Cups On A Frame He Designed

In the winter of 2022, Neko Mulally made a surprising announcement. He would be forgoing a sponsor and designing and racing on his own frame for the World Cup Season. He has called the project Frameworks Racing.

Neko was nice enough to take us all along with him for the journey and document it on YouTube. To this point, it has been very popular.

For this season, Neko brought onto the team the talented Asa Vermette. Even though he is only 16, he is already beating some of the fastest riders in the world. Watch the recap of them at the US Open below.

This video highlights some of the steps that Neko takes in developing this bike, by isolating stress points and designing them to be stronger.

Since Asa was too young to race at the World Cup this past season, the Open was one of the only times the pair raced together. It was a smashing success. Vermette got second, beating Jackson Goldstone and Greg Minaar.

At the close of a successful season, what will happen with Frameworks going forward? There are plans to eventually start selling bikes, and people are excited.

If rumors are to be believed, it appears that Vermette will be sticking with the Frameworks brand. This means that both Neko and Asa will be racing the bikes at World Cups next year. I think we are about to see the level of Damage Asa can do on this bike. Thankfully, the YouTube series will be here to document it all.
