This New Rice Krispies Cereal Tastes Like Cookies & Crème, So One Bowl Won’t Be Enough
Snap, Crackle, and Pop are giving us a very good reason to choose cereal for breakfast every morning, thanks to Kellogg’s new Cookies & Creme Krispies cereal. If previous flavored treats, like the Yoo-hoo Cookies & Cream Drink and Pop-Tarts Frosted Cookies & Crème Cereal, have taught us anything, it’s that you can’t go wrong with this variety.
Classic Rice Krispies simply consist of sweetened rice cereal. While it seems pretty plain, the sweetness paired with the milk makes it anything but boring. With the new Cookies & Creme Krispies cereal, the rice cereal has little black specks to bring in that cookie flavor.
As indicated on the packaging, this is a special-edition cereal. We can only assume that means it’s not a permanent offering on shelves, so if there were ever a time to head to the cereal aisle, it’s now. The new Rice Krispies has just begun rolling out in stores and, luckily, it’s not exclusive to one.
This isn’t Rice Krispies introduction with this flavor. There are already Rice Krispies Treats Cookies ‘n Creme and Rice Krispies Treats Poppers Cookies ‘n’ Crème, so Kellogg’s must have this down to a science at this point, right? This might even be better, because the cereal is socially acceptable to eat for breakfast even though it’s basically a snack. Plus, you can make homemade Rice Krispies Treats with the cereal and extra marshmallow.
