The Real Housewives of New York reboot is well underway, and there are so many new personalities to get to know. In the mix: Ubah Hassan, a beautiful model who owns a hot sauce company and has plenty of hilarious one-liners to keep the fans at home happy.

As you probably know by now, Ubah is pretty successful and she has a really interesting back story. She fled Somalia with her brother and father when she was young, and lived in Kenya before getting discovered by a photographer in Canada. She later made her way to the Big Apple (obviously, this is Real Housewives of New York we're talking about). If you have a lot of questions about this chic, new housewife, you're not alone. So, who is Ubah, exactly, and what’s the deal with her hot sauce company? Here’s what you need to know:

Is she married?

Nope, Ubah is not married. Perhaps, if the series continues with this group of Manhattanites, viewers will get to see this strong woman finally find someone worthy of her affections. Only time will tell!

There's also no evidence that she has previously been married. She hasn't mentioned a husband before, but did say that Erin Dana Lichy's trainer in the Hamptons was "totally her type."

Who is she dating?

Another great question! Unfortunately, Ubah hasn’t said much about her dating life, on Instagram or on the show.

She did joke on a recent episode, though, “How am I going to get a husband when my room is this messy?” Ubah also previously told Page Six that her height tends to scare men off. “Being 5-feet, 11 and a half-inches is wonderful, because when I walk into a club, I’m so tall that no men want to talk to me,” she said. “I love that. I think, ‘Just don’t come near me.’”

Way back in 2014, Ubah was linked to Jason Flom of Lava Records, per Page Six, but it doesn’t appear that they’re still together.

What does she do for work?

As previously mentioned, Ubah is a successful model and she also owns Ubah Hot, a hot sauce company that she started on her own. And if you're thinking that Ubah's tagline, “The secret ingredient? Darling, it's me,” makes a lot more sense now, same.

“When I started modeling, I had to eat, like, steamed fish, steamed vegetables, steamed everything. And I thought, ‘I’m gonna die’ without the flavor of the food, so that’s how Ubah Hot was born. I created [it] to make simple food taste delicious,” she said during a recent episode.

You can snag your own taste of Ubah Hot on the company website. A three-pack of different flavors, Ruby, Emerald, and Tanzanite, rings up to $60.

Worth noting: Ubah Hot was named one of Oprah’s Favorite Things in 2021.

Plus, it looks like she's back on her modeling game, as she shared this snap from some work she did recently:

How old is Ubah?

Ubah is 39, although she has a birthday coming up at the end of August. Perhaps the ladies will get together for a big shindig to celebrate their friend?

What is Ubah's net worth?

There are a few numbers flying around the internet around this, but Ubah’s net worth is estimated to come in at around $2 million, according to The Cinemaholic. And while she may not be the wealthiest housewife of the bunch (Jenna Lyons, I'm lookin' at you), she definitely works her butt off and has a lot of designer clothes to prove it.

She’s cousins with another Housewife.

Talk about a small world: Ubah’s cousin is actually Chanel Ayan from Real Housewives of Dubai. Chanel, as you probably know, is also a model (it must run in the family).

Ubah told Page Six that Chanel gave her some solid advice around being on the show: “Chanel just said to have entertainment, drama. But nothing ill-intended because we are all human and we are all women. Make it fun but don’t go below the belt.”
