‘RHOC’ Star Shannon Beador Had Face Fillers Dissolved Because She Couldn’t Recognize Herself
Shannon Beador, 56, opened up about her negative experience with facial fillers.
The Real Housewives of Orange County star ended up getting them dissolved after failing to recognize herself.
“I’m having a really difficult time looking myself in the mirror,” she said.
Shannon Beador has decided to get her facial fillers dissolved. In a candid Instagram video, the Real Housewives of Orange County star said fans were wondering about the work she had done after part one of the season 15 reunion aired on Jan. 20.
“I wanted to look good for the reunion, so I went elsewhere to try a couple of natural and non-invasive treatments that have been very effective in tightening people’s skin, but it didn’t work at all on my skin,” Beador explained.
She tried out a filler in her cheeks and face that aims to stimulate the growth of collagen, but she admits she didn’t do much research beforehand. “It’s been a really hard month,” Beador said. (She didn’t mention when she initially got the fillers done.) “I’m having a really difficult time looking at myself in the mirror. I don’t recognize myself.”
Despite Beador’s feelings about the situation, fans had lots of words of encouragement. “I didn’t notice last night, thought you looked beautiful,” one person commented on her post. “I thought you looked great, as always,” another added.
On Jan. 21, the reality star took to her Instagram Stories to show the process of getting her fillers dissolved, which required an injection.
“I’m good. Anything to get rid of it,” Beador said in the video. She will return in two weeks for a follow-up and was instructed by her practitioner to use a gua sha tool, a stone massager that helps guide excess fluid out of the face.
This isn’t the first time Beador has opened up about getting work done. In December 2019, she shared multiple photos of her skin following a $2,500 CO2 laser treatment. Beador also underwent a “scalpel-less facelift” in August 2019. Bottom line: Even those who are familiar with cosmetic procedures get results they don’t love sometimes.
