Who gon’ check me boo? Because Shereé Whitfield is BACK for season 14 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. I have no choice but to tune in to watch the return of this absolute legend.

Shereé is no stranger to Bravo. She was an original cast member on RHOA, and fans (myself included) loved watching her onscreen. When she first came on the show, she was in the middle of a divorce with former Atlanta Falcons player Bob Whitfield and raising her kids. But a lot has changed since 2008, and Shereé has certainly had her ups and downs with the show.

She left the cast twice in recent years, but now returns for a third go during season 14, which premieres on May 1.

So, now that Shereé is back, I'm here to fill you in on anything you might have missed.

Who is Shereé Whitfield?

Shereé was an original Atlanta housewife, capturing hearts and minds during the show's 2008 premiere with her divorce story and her epic one-liners (YOUR FIRST CAR WAS REPOED, COME ON!). And of course, I would be remiss if I did not include mention of her fashion line She by Shereé. But more on that later.

Shereé is originally from Ohio, but raised her family in Atlanta. In season 1, we saw Shereé navigating a divorce from her ex-NFL star husband, all while managing her kids Kairo, Tierra, and Kayleigh.

Before her reality TV fame, Shereé ran a clothing store called Bella Azul. Now, she’s a television icon (well, at least to rabid Bravo fans like myself). And since 2008, she’s dabbled in other acting projects like Scary Movie 5, Reckless, and The Joneses.

Her mansion, Chateau Shereé, isn’t going to pay for itself!

What's her net worth?

Shereé is worth about $800,000, per CelebrityNetWorth.com.

She has made much of her fortune during her time on RHOA, but is also an entrepreneur and has written a book, “Wives, Fiancées and Side Chicks of Hotlanta,” that I will be downloading to my Kindle ASAP.

Shereé initially left the franchise in 2012.

After four seasons, Shereé left the rest of the RHOA cast, stating that she was “tired of the fighting and the cattiness” and that she believed the show was “no longer a fit” for her lifestyle, per an interview. One has to wonder how the great Kim Zolciak-Biermann wig pull factored into this decision.

In a post-fight confessional, Shereé said that she “felt the need to tug on her wig.”

The show brought on Kenya Moore and Porsha Williams after Shereé's departure, and well, we all know how that went! In a word: chaotic.

She returned during Season 8.

Evidently feeling the show now WAS a fit for her lifestyle, Shereé came back to RHOA in season 8 as a “friend of the show.” Dubbing herself the group's "bone collector," she was always in the mix, and yet somehow just outside the fray.

Shereé returned to RHOA full time for seasons 9 and 10, and brought us the absolutely incredible Chateau Shereé vs Moore Manor drama that will go down as one of the great Bravo feuds of all time. Hang those blueprints in the Museum of American History, or at the very least, in Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live! clubhouse.

Shereé left the series again in 2018 to focus on her business.

Shereé is back for Season 14.

I’ll be real, the Housewives needed Shereé for season 14. With Porsha's departure, and the bad blood between Bravo and NeNe Leakes, who is now suing the network, Shereé was the perfect addition.

“Don’t call it a comeback, call it a takeover,” Shereé wrote on Twitter when the season 14 trailer dropped. She’ll star in this season alongside Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Drew Sidora, Marlo Hampton, and Sanya Richards-Ross which sounds Atlanta-peach level juicy.

Who is her boyfriend, Tyrone?

Shereé’s boyfriend Tyrone Gilliams was serving prison time for wire fraud while she was on the show. At one point, she even asked Phaedra Parks’ ex-husband, Apollo Nida, for guidance following Tyrone’s 2021 release. Apollo also went to jail in 2014 for fraud and identity theft charges.

Tyrone was released early because of COVID, and the couple seemed to be picking things up right where they left off. However, TMZ reported in November of 2021 that Tyrone sent a cease and desist letter to Bravo regarding the use of his name and likeness without his permission.

TMZ also reported that Shereé and Tyrone aren't actually on speaking terms right now... So will this plotline make it into season 14? No one knows for sure.

What is She by Shereé, anyway?

If there is one thing Shereé loves, it’s a self-branded project. Fans saw her putting together the start of her fashion line way back in season 1. But seeing as the "fashion show" consisted of only design sketches, the company’s fate seemed shaky.

When she returned to the show in 2018, Andy asked what happened to the fashion line at the reunion. Shereé responded, confusingly, “joggers.” When asked when the line might be released she said, “September. Spring-Summer.” I have a lot of questions.

In May of 2020, Shereé showed the viewers of Watch What Happens Life With Andy Cohen some joggers on mannequins, but much to my dismay, it seems these will not be available for the public.

Shereé told Andy she would be shifting her line but did not specify what changes would be made. And it doesn't look like things are moving quickly because Shereé’s website shows the line still has not launched.

And what about Chateau Shereé?

Another mysterious Shereé project is her multi-million dollar estate that she was building for years. She finally did do a home tour for Bravo viewers, and I must say, it looks stunning.

Shereé bought the land in 2012, and built the house from the ground up, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The five-bed, five-bath, 8,000 square foot house is apparently worth about $1.2 million.

The journey to Chateau Shereé also resulted in one of my favorite feuds of all time with Kenya Moore. This altercation birthed the line, “she ain’t sh*t by Shereé,” which was a truly delightful little nugget.

Season 14 is sure to bring some more Shereé updates, so stay tuned!
