Revisiting When Chris Davenport Surprised MSP By Sending A Huge Cliff

Professional skier Chris Davenport, owner of the desirable '@steepskiing' name on Instagram, is known for what his handle suggests- skiing steeps.

The clip below comes from Matchstick Productions' 2002 film 'Ski Movie III: The Front Line'. Watch as Davenport surprises the film crew by hitting a much larger cliff than what they originally planned for because he was (and I quote) "hungry".

Check it out:

Matchstick Productions: "Chris Davenport is HUNGRY in this weeks #waybackwednesday sending this HUGE cliff that surprised everyone @steepskiing

Don't forget to go check out last weeks #segmentsaturday on the Pemperton ice cap and the full 2002 Ski Movie III Front Line #linkinbio

You can catch the full film for FREE in the MSP Vault."

That was quite the slam, but it looks like he rode out of that 50+ footer without too many bangs or bruises.

We can chalk it up to Chris Davenport being Chris Davenport. There really isn't much more explanation needed. The dude could and still can flat-out ski. They don't induct people into the Ski Hall of Fame for ripping bunny hills, after all.

MSP just announced their new film 'The Land of Giants' with a teaser trailer that features Sammy Carlson slashing powder on an Alaskan spine.
