This Restaurant Is Selling A Pickle Margarita That Combines Your Love Of Dill And Tequila

From Delish

There’s something about margaritas that feel very … summery. Taco Cabana, a restaurant serving up Mexican cuisine throughout its locations in Texas, has decided to turn a fake boozy sip into a real one. Ta-da! The pickle margarita has been born.

On April 1, 2019, Taco Cabana posted about the boozy beverage on Facebook. Many called out the suspicious timing, and others couldn’t wait to get their hands on it. “I hope this it’s not an April fool's day joke. This would be amazing……” one person wrote. “I would love one! Please consider it to be a real thing!” wrote another. Unfortunately, it was an April Fools’ Day joke … then. Now it’s real.

While we don’t know exactly what’s in the drink, it appears to be a frozen margarita, which means, tequila and ice have to be involved. We also suspect that pickle juice is involved, but we’re still waiting on those details. All we’re saying is that if the pickle margarita isn’t garnished with an actual dill pickle, there’s a missed opportunity there.

“An old April Fool’s joke is this year’s sensation!” the restaurant captioned its Instagram post on March 25. We can only assume that the joke got such a positive reaction two years ago that they had no choice but to make it real.

The limited-edition drink officially launched on Thursday, but Taco Cabana hasn’t revealed how long it’ll be around for. Who knows? Maybe it’ll be so popular that it’ll stick around for good? Hey, we can put it out into the universe.
