Restaurant inspections: Wilma & Frieda, Lavender Bistro and more pass with 'A' grades

Weekly restaurant inspection report from Riverside County Public Health Department.

Coachella Valley restaurants passed Riverside County environmental health inspections with flying colors this week, with each inspected spot earning a coveted "A" grade, according to reports conducted Nov. 10 through 16.

Popular downtown Palm Springs brunch spot Wilma & Frieda, which was shut down due to ongoing violations during its Nov. 9 inspection, reopened following a reinspection this week. Additionally, Sandfish Sushi & Whiskey in Palm Springs was closed for two days because it lacked hot water, but reopened once the issue was fixed.

Major violations pose an imminent risk to public health and warrant the immediate closure of a food facility or immediate correction, while minor violations do not pose a public health risk, but do warrant correction.
