Restaurant inspections: 3 local spots briefly close for cockroach, rodent infestations

Most Coachella Valley restaurants passed inspections with flying colors this week, although three spots were first briefly closed due to cockroach and rodent infestations, according to reports conducted March 15 through 21.

La Tablita and Daniel's Table in Cathedral City were closed earlier in the week due to evidence of rodents, while Miracle Springs Resort & Spa in Desert Hot Springs was shut down due to a cockroach infestation. All three places were revisited by health inspectors days later and showed that they corrected their violations, leading to their reopening.

Major violations pose an imminent risk to public health and warrant the immediate closure of a food facility or immediate correction, while minor violations do not pose an imminent public health risk, but do warrant correction.
