There’s an Indian restaurant in Bangkok, Thailand that has officially been given the title of Asia’s Best Restaurant three years in a row. Of course, it has a lot to do with chef Gaggan Anand’s delicious concoctions, but it’s also because the restaurant offers an emoji menu.

Yep, that’s right. A menu full of emojis with no actual descriptions of the food.

You might be wondering how customers know what they’re eating. Well, that’s a fair question. And the answer is…they don’t. At least not until after the meal.

It’s a pricey adventure, but one worth taking if you’re willing to pretty much eat anything put in front of you. For $115 (4,000 Thai baht), diners are given a tasting menu with 25 emojis printed on transparent paper.

Once all 25 courses are served, the waiter brings over a menu with actual words on it that describe each course. Guests just need to place the menu underneath the transparent emoji menu to figure out what they ate.

Twenty five courses might sound like a tremendous amount of food, but the serving sizes are tiny. Seriously. Like, we’re talking 1-2 bites per dish.

While this style of eating might not be for everyone, it does seem like a really fun time.

Each dish was created by a team of chefs to match its corresponding emoji, and people are all about the uniqueness of the restaurant.

“Gaggan Anand’s fertile imagination and culinary wit are played out in a lengthy but always fun tasting menu, which balances the soulfulness of Indian street food with hyper-modern cooking techniques to unrivaled effect,” according to the World’s 50 Best.

So if you happen to find yourself hungry in Banbkok, you know what to do.
