HBO’s The White Lotus takes place at a fictional resort with the same name as the series, but fans of the show may be surprised to learn that it was actually filmed at a Four Seasons hotel in Hawaii.

Situated on a 15-acre property, the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea is the only resort on the island of Maui to boast both the Forbes Five-Star Award and the AAA Five Diamond Award. And be prepared to spend some serious money if you want to stay here, as room rates range from $845 to a whopping $25,000 per night.

The resort includes a range of amenities, including Wolfgang Puck’s Spago restaurant, its own art museum, fitness facilities, two pools, spa services, and three par-72 golf courses. And in 2007, the property underwent a $50 million renovation of its 380 guest rooms and suites, which included the addition of a new restaurant and the aforementioned museum.

The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea was built at an estimated cost of $180 million by Hawaiian developer Christopher Hemmeter and Japanese businessman Takeshi Sekiguchi, in collaboration with Four Seasons, the Shimizu Corporation, and TSA International. When the resort opened in 1990, it was only the third resort property from the Four Seasons, and it was also the first Four Seasons project in Hawaii.
