Rescuer's Sweet Morning Greeting for Blind Cow Is Full of Pure Love

Uncle Neil's Home welcomed a new resident to the sanctuary in May. This 19-year-old blind cow named Helen lived her entire life on a dairy farm. The fact she was rescued and brought to this sanctuary is quite amazing since most cows in the dairy industry don't have the same outcome.

Helen is now enjoying her freedom. You can see how kind they are to her from this August 18 clip posted to TikTok account @uncleneilshome. The sweet way they greet her in the morning is full of love.

Aww, is this not the most precious thing ever?! We love that Helen looks like she’s relaxing in the grass, something that she’s probably never had enough of at the dairy farm. We love that they know to approach Helen very gently and speak to her softly because she can't see. The last thing you would want to do is startle a blind animal.

As much as it looks like this senior cow is at peace in her new home, it took some adjusting. The sanctuary wrote in an Instagram post that she was very scared at first being in an unfamiliar location. The trip was long, plus her food was different. Her space was different. She didn't even eat for the first few days. Luckily, through an endless amount of love, music, and conversations, she's feeling at home. They added that she spends no less than 12 hours a day grazing, feeling the wind, and listening to all of the new sounds. How precious is that?!

Uncle Neil's Farm, which began in 2019, is a sanctuary located in New Jersey. The farm sanctuary helps rescue farmed animals, rehabilitate them, and give them a lifelong home. Plus, the team is dedicated to educating and advocating for compassionate, cruelty-free, and vegan lifestyles.
