Rescuer's Emotional Reaction to Dog Finding a Home Is Just Beautiful
The world really needs more people like her.
TikTok user @straysandgays gave us such an interesting perspective of those who run animal shelters. We typically see the reactions of the animals going with their new families or the new owners crying with happiness. We rarely see what it means for the employees.
But this recent clip shows us just how much an adoption means to shelters. The woman in this video was crying as she shared the good news about one of the shelter dogs, Hercules. This sweet baby is going home. Her reaction is just the most beautiful thing.

Ugh, we can’t stop crying! Happy tears, though. We’re so, so, SO excited that Hercules has been adopted and we can’t wait to hear more about his new life in Florida. If any dog deserves to go home, it’s this boy.
We all felt the weight lifted off this woman’s shoulders. Her cries were just out of relief that the work is paying off. “Bless you! The tears are the kindness in your heart overflowing,” said @mpigatto1. Absolutely!
“Yay! What a lucky family,” wrote @justbethinpdx. We know he’ll be the bestest boy ever for his new family, showering them with a thousand kisses a day. Plus, something tells us he’ll be getting lots and lots of treats. “I’m so excited for his new beginning,” added @pittiesareagirlsbestfrnd. SAME! He’s going to be living the life!
