Rescued Pigs Venture Outside for the First Time and It's Heartwarming to See

Rescued animals are often severely abused and neglected, and unfortunately that was true in the case of these three rescued pigs. But this story has a happy ending! The pigs were rescued by Woodstock Sanctuary, an animal sanctuary in upstate New York, and they are now living their best lives.

The three pigs were rescued and had to go into quarantine before they could be allowed outside of their pen. After waiting, all tests came back that the guys were good to go. They venture outside for the first time, and their little tails start wagging immediately!

What's shocking about this video is that these big guys were all raised to be snake food. What?! What kind of snake could or would possibly try to eat an animal so big! I did a little digging around and it turns out that boa constrictors and many pythons do eat pigs. Luckily, the trio were not fed to snakes, and were able to enjoy their first warm summer day outside instead of inside. I mean, is there really anything better than napping in the sun?!

Commenters left lots of notes of thanks and appreciation for what the sanctuary does for these animals. One commenter made me smile by sharing, "The three amigos. Have a new happy life!" The three pigs are all named after characters from the old Peanuts comics, but this user had a different idea for the three, "BLT, what, you were thinking the same thing. LOL!"

@BeeGeeBeeGee had my favorite comment, "Thank you for what you do!" Thanks to all of the animal sanctuaries out there that make life better for abused and neglected animals. They deserve happiness in their lives after all that they've endured.
