Watching rescue animals adjust to their new, safe surroundings is one of the most heartwarming things. We could watch these types of videos 24/7. We know it's not always easy because it takes a lot of patience and time. But the ending is always so worth it.
TikTok user @rescuemhorses is the latest to capture our hearts with an animal rescue story. Meet Midas, a beautiful 10-year-old horse who was saved from a kill pen. Based on this video, we'd say Midas is learning he's safe and we can't wait to see what the future has in store for him.

Midas and his trainer will be part of the 2023 Heart of the Horse Expo. This challenge is designed for trainers to work 120 days with a horse. These horses typically have uncertain futures because they are untrained. A lot of those horses come from rescue facilities that don't have the resources to train them all. We can't wait to follow Midas on this journey starting in January!
