Rescue Parrot's Dramatic Demands for a Cup of Tea Are Oscar-Worthy
The coughing is just so overdramatic.
Parrots are amazingly intelligent animals and can develop strong personalities. That can sometimes manifest itself in a whole lot of bossy and sassy behavior. Especially when they decide they want something.
Take for example the beautiful birdie that belongs to TikTok account @Fartbirb. Jack absolutely loves her chamomile tea, and she's not very good at being patient when her mom makes it for her. Just watching the following hilarious clip to see what we mean. This bird has zero chill.

We love how she is actually pretending to cough to get what she wants. She's like every kid who ever faked being sick to get out of going to school. Jack's owner explains how she learned this behavior, with "My Dad is stage four COPD. We don't live with him, but it's like he's in the room with us."
@Bellierossie285 comments, "The coughing and loogie hacking is too much." @Ypo adds, "I'm so sick cough cough, I really need some tea right now." At least she helps by adding her own tea bag, LOL! @Fumblesquid comments, "Parrots are just toddlers that live forever. I have the highest respect for anyone that owns one."
We aren't the only ones who were charmed by her weird little "tea dance" and @user8389419124199 comments, "I too perform the same dance each time I desire a hot cup of chamomile." @Kiki sums up this whole situation perfectly with "You know you are truly loved when a bird begins to mimic the sound of you clearing phlegm from your throat. LOL."
