Feel like you’re constantly fighting a losing battle with dust bunnies, pet hair, and dirt in your home? Unless you have a truly ace vacuum at your side, you’ll be spending hours a week just cleaning your floors and carpets. No one has time for that — and even if you did, who wants to spend it lugging around a heavy machine from room to room?

Smart vacuums do the work for you. Turn them on, and watch them go — they’ll suck up all the dirt and dust and whatever else is lingering in your floorboards in a snap, and you don’t have to lift a finger. Not all e-vacs are created equal, and the gold standard by far are iRobot Roombas. Not only are they the most popular models, but they’re super effective on just about any type of floor or carpet.

They’re also wildly expensive — some models are priced north of $1,200. However, Amazon just marked down some of the brand’s best-sellers to Black Friday-like prices.

iRobot 960 Robot Vacuum

Compared to earlier 600 series Roomba models, this bad boy can suck up five times as much grime. Like the i7, it also intelligently creates a map of your home using thousands of precise measurements each millisecond. More importantly, the ultra-efficient filter can capture over 99 percent of all pollen and allergens, even ones as small as 10 microns. Don’t worry about it wandering off somewhere — it goes back to its charging station once it needs more juice, and pops back out to finish the job.

Reviewers love how thorough the iRobot 960 is. “I love that it doesn't track in perfect patterns,” one reviewer notes. “Why? Because neither does my dirt. Yes, after he runs our 1100 sq ft home with multiple nooks and crannies ALL of the floor ends up clean.”

Live in a smaller home? This Roomba is perfect for you. It runs for 90 minutes before needing a quick recharge, and uses sensors to help guide its sense of direction. It’s intelligent enough to know which areas need more power than others, and its brushes are angled precisely to help get dirt out of corners.

“Love, love, love this Roomba!” a five-star reviewer raved. “We have three cats and it picks up all the hair. We have wood and tile floors with some scattered rugs. It does a great job cleaning all surfaces.”

Always wanted a Roomba but can’t bring yourself to spend hundreds? This budget-friendly model is marked 20 percent off — cheaper than it was on Black Friday. Like the 675, it uses a three-stage cleaning system to whisk away dirt and grime, plus dirt detect sensors help the Roomba determine which parts of your home need extra attention.

One enthusiastic reviewer dubbed the Roomba 614 “a powerhouse in a mini package!” and adds “We can’t do regular vacuuming with big vacs and these little guys do a WAY BETTER job. Yes, you read that right, the little guy does a better job!”
