Report: Glen 'Big Baby' Davis could face 7 years in prison after indictment on felony assault charge
Former NBA player Glen “Big Baby” Davis faces up to seven years in prison after being indicted on a felony assault charge, USA Today reports.
Davis turned himself in to Los Angeles police in May for an April incident that took place outside of a West Hollywood night club.
Davis allegedly slammed a man on concrete ground
TMZ reported that Davis, after almost hitting a man with a car, allegedly picked him up and slammed him on the concrete when the man confronted him. The alleged victim was hospitalized with with multiple broken bones in his face and ribs, according to the report.
Davis was reportedly released on $50,000 bond after he turned himself in.
L.A. County district attorney’s office spokesperson Ricardo Santiago told USA Today on Wednesday that Davis has been charged with assault by means likely to produce great bodily injury, which carries a maximum of seven years in prison. He’ll be arraigned on Thursday, according to the report.
Davis played in the NBA from 2007 to 2015 and is best known for being a role player on the 2008 champion Boston Celtics.
