Report: Browns expected to announce plans to rebuild Cleveland Browns Stadium

According to Ken Prendergast of NEOTrans blog, the Cleveland Browns are expected to announce plans to rebuild Cleveland Browns Stadium. Agreeing to revoke the naming rights away from FirstEnergy last week, was just the tip of the iceberg.

The Haslams have been outspoken about developing the lakefront, but have also stated a dome is unlikely.

The report also states the Browns would need to find somewhere new to play for two years during construction. Prendergast speculates the Browns could play in the new Columbus Crew stadium due to ownership of that franchise also being owned by the Haslam Group.

Construction is expected to begin in 2026.
