Downton Abbey fans are going to be very, very excited! As most viewers know, the much-anticipated Downton Abbey film sequel, Downton Abbey: A New Era, hits theaters on Wednesday, May 18. The film comes three years after the first Downton Abbey film, which garnered even more praise for the franchise.

While one might think that the Downton Abbey plotline could go on forever, given the overwhelming fan support, show creator Julian Fellowes, however, says he wouldn’t be displeased if the film was the final chapter of the franchise.

“I don't know the answer [to questions about the future], the truth is if they want more and the cast want to do more, then I'm sure we'll find a way of delivering more,” he revealed in an interview with Sky News. "But I don't mind if it's run its course, I think that's fair enough, too. And if we've given some enjoyment to people over the years, then that makes me very happy. I'm a fairly simple soul really."

As much as viewers don’t want that to happen, there’s still good news in the meantime: You can actually stay at the Downton Abbey mansion from the film.

Available on Booking.com, Rocabella is situated in Le Pradet in the South of France and boasts both garden and sea views. Despite the sprawling nature of the mansion, the booking is only available for a single room, complete with a balcony and bathroom.

As it currently stands, though, it seems to be fully booked. Still, to be able to say you vacationed in the newly inherited villa where the Crawley family stayed on their journey to the South of France? We say it’s well worth the wait.
