A new HGTV competition show premieres this weekend and we couldn't be more excited. The show, Renovation Resort Showdown, is hosted by fan favorite Bryan Baeumler of Renovation Island and Scott McGillivray from Vacation House Rules. Scott recently acquired a lakeside resort, and he's calling in some outside help for the redesign and renovation. Scott and Bryan will lend a helping hand for four building and design teams of two as they renovate identical lakeside cabins on resort property, inside and out.

The teams will have seven weeks and a $100,000 budget to complete their cabin redesign with all teams working on the same part of their cabins each week. By the end of the season, they will have redesigned their cabin's kitchen, main bedroom, bathrooms, entryway, kitchen, living room, dining room, loft and exterior (that's a lot to do in just seven weeks!). Guest judges will decide which team wins the weekly challenge. The duo that comes out on top will win $100,000 and, of course, HGTV bragging rights. The teams include couples and business partners from Toronto, Chicago and Phoenix.

The series premieres on Sunday July 23 at 9 p.m. ET on HGTV, streaming on Max the same day. Canadians have nothing but good things to say about the show, as the full first season premiered in Canada before making its way to America. We can't wait to see each teams take on the redesign, and find out our winner in seven weeks. This one may just be a new fan favorite on par with Bryan's Renovation Island.
