  • Chris Bukowski, 32, has been on more Bachelor franchise shows than anyone else.

  • The two-time Bachelor in Paradise veteran retired from reality TV in 2015, but is back this season.

  • He also owns two bars in Arlington, Virginia and Chicago.

In the Bachelor universe, there are some people who just seem to love the camera a little (read: a lot) more than others. Nick Viall is one of the most famous ones, but he doesn’t hold a candle to Chris Bukowski, who has been on six different Bachelor shows. (Yes, seriously.)

Chris has been part of the Bachelor franchise so often that he probably rivals Chris Harrison for screen time. And while he once swore he was done with reality TV, Chris is back for another season of Bachelor in Paradise. He kicked off the premiere episode by making fun of himself and how often he’s been on Bachelor shows, which was actually pretty funny.

Still, for all his appearances, Chris isn’t a big name in the Bachelor franchise, so it’s totally understandable if you’re not super familiar with him. Here’s everything you need to know about him:

For starters, Chris isn't that old.

The resident Bachelor vet made fun of his age on this season’s BiP premiere, but it’s not like he’s geriatric or anything. He’s actually 32 (turning 33 in September), according to the Bachelor Nation fandom.

Still, he’s spent a lot of his adult life on Bachelor shows.

Like, a lot a lot. In addition to his latest BiP appearance, he was on The Bachelorette season eight (with Emily Maynard), The Bachelorette season ten (starring Andi Dorfman), Bachelor Pad Season 3, and Bachelor in Paradise seasons one and two…and now season six. This is practically his full-time gig.

Chris "retired" from reality TV in 2015.

Chris wrote an open letter on Rant Now in 2015, where he announced his "retirement" from the Bachelor franchise. "We all have our battles, but my TV obsession had taken me down a dark road," he said. "I was battling anxiety that led me down a road where I couldn’t find happiness."

He went on to explain that that problem only became worse when he got "addicted to my anxiety medication," which eventually made "everything go from perfect to complete crap."

The time away must've done Chris Bukowski good. Watch Chris Harrison describe him as the "wise old sage" of Bachelor in Paradise:

Chris continued: "It didn’t matter how much money I had or how many women wanted to date me. I was just a hated, desperate person."

To conclude the post, he wrote, "I can’t wait for my television career to be over. I miss being me. And after today, I get to be me again." Four years later, he's apparently found himself and is ready for more.

Chris owns two bars.

When he’s not appearing on reality TV, Chris is busy running two sports bars. One is the Bracket Room Sports Lounge and Eatery in Arlington, Virginia; the other is another Bracket Room that he opened in Chicago. The food is pretty much upscale bar grub (which, tbh, sounds super yummy).

He co-founded another company.

Chris is a seriously busy dude. Besides his reality TV gigs and his bars, he also manages a digital web development agency the he co-founded called KCM Create. Oh, and he’s an advisor for dating app The Catch, according to Heavy.

He hasn’t looked the best on the Bachelor shows.

Chris did okay during Emily’s season of The Bachelorette (he was let go after hometowns), and then he made a weird appearance on Andi’s season where he showed up, begged producers to let him in, and was shut down by Andi. (Chris later told TMZ that was staged.)

On BiP, he hit it off with Elise Mosca, and the two left the show together, only to split a month later. He wasn’t in great shape for his second BiP appearance—he got super drunk, gave his date card away, and went home within 24 hours.

But this might be Chris's season.

Early rumors say Chris actually hits it off with a contestant and that he really, actually, finally finds love. (Guess sixth time really is the charm?)

So…it’s a little random that Chris is back on reality TV, but, hey, if he finally finds love this way, more power to him.
