Remedy Entertainment is working on at least five projects and has provided updates on all of its games in its annual investor report. Out of all the projects, its Control spinoff Project Condor and the remakes for Max Payne 1 and 2 are in the “production readiness” stage, with the developer revealing new information about the former.

In the report, Remedy has now provided a synopsis for Project Condor, a game that will be the first co-op experience set in the Federal Bureau of Control.

After the Hiss Invasion, the Oldest House is under lockdown: a boiling pot of volatile and dangerous supernatural forces. Trapped within is the last vestige of the Federal Bureau of Control who will need to take a stand and push back to regain control. Desperate times require desperate measures. And everyone’s needed.

Remedy revealed that the game’s initial budget is €25 million, and will be developed for PC and current-gen consoles. Unlike the Max Payne remakes, Remedy will retain ownership of the game since it’s an original IP.

“The development team has discovered smart ways to utilize the world of Control as well as designs that ensure a cooperative player experience that fits into the world of codename Condor,” reads the report.

The report also teases that the game will have a focus on survival mechanics along with loot-based gear. A previously filed trademark from Remedy points to the game being called FBC: Firebreak. While details are scarce, the game’s title suggests that players will be facing off against enemies from Control with the Federal Bureau of Control acting as some kind of hub. Given the shifting nature of the building, it can be easily adapted to host a multiplayer hub area that was previously unseen in Control.

“As a multiplayer game, Condor has the potential to engage the gaming community in the long run, contributing to 505 Games’ product revenue stream longer than traditional games,” said Rami and Raffi Galante, co-CEOs of Digital Bros Group during the game’s announcement.
