State Bicycle Co. is known for their collaborations and special edition bikes. In the past they’ve released lines featuring Taco Bell, Corona, Wu-Tang Clan, and Ozzy Osbourne. So The Beatles are in good company as the latest iconic collab. The new, super colorful Beatles-inspired capsule collection of jerseys, tech tees, and two limited-edition bikes are perfect for enjoying the summer.

The Beatles bikes include the Yellow Submarine Klunker, a beautiful, retro mash-up of a beach cruiser, mountain bike, and BMX. According to the State, it’s the perfect bike for a neighborhood cruise, a trip to the corner store, or if you feel audacious, a rip down the trail. The super simple design means no gears to shift, and no derailleurs or cables to adjust or maintain. It comes standard with 27.5” wheels, 2.3” WTB knobby tires, and a built-in bottle opener.

The 4130 Abbey Road bike has a classic look. Less flashy than the Yellow Submarine, like something the band might actually have ridden around Liverpool. The steel frame comes with a premium Brooks saddle, and rear pannier rack, “resulting in a bike that rides like a dream but wouldn't look out of place in 1969.”

Founded in 2009, State is also known for making stylish, high quality, affordable bikes. Their goal is to get everyone on a bike that they feel good on. Their focus was originally on fixed gear bikes—with the idea that simple was best—but they’ve since branched out to include a variety of bikes to suit all kinds of lifestyles and needs. And they continue to produce their core line of $399 bikes.

But if you ever thought “fixies” are only for flat cities, State has a YouTube series, “Riding Fixed Up Mountains with Pros,” where they not only ride up mountain roads, but also down, on classic fixed gear bikes.

Even if your garage is full of bikes, the Yellow Submarine and 4130 Abbey Road, at $450 and $650, might be your next must-have rigs for a summer of meandering through strawberry fields and going here, there and everywhere.
