Part of the excitement of traveling is getting to experience things you've never done before. Isn't there just something extra exhilarating about crossing things off your bucket list? Should you be a more adventurous type who likes to live life on the edge (literally), I have just the hotel for you to book your stay at on your next South American vacation: Refugio La Roca Colombia.

Essentially, each room at this hotel has something incredible to offer: 360 degree views, balconies overlooking the mountains, a deck suspended off the side of the edge, you name it. The Ritakuwa rooms, though, include a "malla/terraza," translated roughly to mean a "mesh terrace." You might be thinking "I'm sorry...what?" In which case my response would be "Yea, I know, it's absolutely INSANE." Because it truly is as much of an adrenaline rush as it sounds.

In other words, the rooms -which feature a king bed, glass walls with a breathtaking panoramic view, and a private bathroom-include an outdoor balcony space made of an actual net (something like a hammock) where you can relax, read, and/or take in the surroundings-all while suspended above a cliff from your private room.

One reviewer gave the hotel and the Ritakuwa room 5-stars, stating it was "perfect for couples":

I spent a night there with my boyfriend when we were in Bucaramanga. It was absolutely breathtaking. Our room (Ritakuwa) was like a tiny bit of luxury in the middle of the wild. We enjoyed the privacy a lot. The food was fantastic and the staff was incredibly nice. All the animals were fun, especially the little monkey (careful, he bit me twice haha).

Depending on what kind of adventure you're looking for in your next trip (like, I don't know, a monkey bite and sleeping at the edge of a cliff), Refugio La Roca in Colombia could be just for you. But, if you're still not sold, just do it for the 'gram-HA, half kidding.
