Tusky Central slowly pulled away in the second half for a 46-38 IVC North Division victory over East Canton.

The game was won at the free-throw line, where the Lady Saints connected on 14-of-23, while the Wizards were 3-of-6.

“We need to continue to play our aggressive style of defense, but learn how to not foul when they get into the paint,” stated Head Coach Jason Wade. “We bailed them out too many times on bad shot attempts, that would have been misses, just by playing defense and not swatting at the ball.

“The third quarter continues to be a struggle for us as we came out and were outscored 14-9, allowing TCC to build on their 2-point halftime lead. The team continued to battle and fight hard all the way to the final buzzer.”

Tori Reichard paced the way for the Wizards with 11 points, Audrey Wade had 10 points and Brooke Chastain finished with six.
