With spring virtually knocking on my door, I cannot wait to go outside. I’ve already stocked up on all of the Zyrtec I’ll need, but I really could use a refresh on some of my outdoor gear. That’s why I was so happy to see that REI is throwing a major sale to celebrate the season.

Beginning March 15, REI members can save 20% on any one item they want (you read that right: any item), plus an extra 20% on all outlet deals. To become a member, you just need to pay a one-time fee of $30. After that, all future rewards are at your fingertips. I went ahead and rounded up 10 of my own top picks perfect for the discount, from Patagonia to Brooks sneakers, including a few editor favorites. These deals will end by March 25, so you don’t want to miss out. And if you’re not a member, keep scrolling down to the very bottom for some great outlet deals.

AeroPress Go Travel Coffee Press

REI

REI

My partner and I have been taking a lot of road trips these days, and I really love the idea of having an AeroPress for an on-the-go option. We also love eating outside in local parks, so this feels like the perfect thing to take along. It's designed for campers, with its compact do-it-all system. It can make hot or cold coffee, similar in flavor to French press. It also works a little like a French press, with a designated area for grounds and a press method to extract your finished brew. This particular set packs up compactly into a case that doubles as a drinking vessel, and it makes up to one to three cups, so it's perfect for me.

Brooks Adrenaline GTS 23

REI

REI

Editorial Director Penelope Wall love her Brooks Adrenaline 22 sneakers, and right now, you can shop the newest generation on sale as a member. Wall notes just how supportive the Adrenaline sneakers are, especially after she had been experiencing pain in her achilles tendon while training for a half marathon. "I went to a local running shoe retailer, where they offer an extensive fitting, and even watch you run in place to ensure that you're getting the best shoe for your needs. I was matched with the Brooks Adrenaline," Wall says, adding that they truly helped improve her pain. Now, she still swears by them for her walks. Based on all of her high praises, I'm eyeing these shoes too. These Adrenaline 23 shoes offer just as much support according to the brand, just updated with even lighter cushioning.

Brooks Ghost Max Road-Running Shoes

REI

REI

I still absolutely love my Ghost Max sneakers. No shoe has held the same level of cushion as these, while also maintaining such an incredibly lightweight feel. The Ghost name is perfect, because you don’t really know that they’re on. For me, these are perfect for walking and light running, especially on hard concrete. I also know that my sister, who is a physical therapist, wears these shoes to work all the time and loves the cushion for those hour long days with patients.

CamelBak Chute Mag Renew Water Bottle

REI

REI

This CamelBak bottle is my preferred reusable option. I love how durable it is, yet because it's made of plastic, it's still really lightweight. The plastic itself is half recycled material, which I love, and it is BPA-, BPS-, and BPF-free, which might be important to you. I also love the easy-to-drink lid, and when the bottle is properly secured it never leaks on me. I prefer room temperature water, so I don’t really need steel insulation, plus I don’t love the metallic taste I often find develops overtime. This bottle never does that—it's easy to clean and the water tastes fresh, always. This particular bottle is 20 ounces, so just over a regular plastic bottle, and comes in many shades. I love olive green the most.

On Cloudsurfer Waterproof Trail Running Shoes

REI

REI

I've recently had the opportunity to wear a few different pairs of On's sneakers, and they've really blown me away with their beyond lightweight design and unique cushion. I rarely ever see the brand having deals, so the fact that this model is available for an exclusive member discount caught my attention. These particular shoes are a new release from the brand. They're built for trail running, with an elevated cushion and a moderate level of traction for uneven ground. They have the slip-on style upper that I love, as it makes them comfortable and easy to slip on, but tight enough for running. If these sound like they're up your alley, score a pair with the member code now before they're back to their full price.

Outdoor Voices Doing Things 2.5-Inch Shorts

REI

REI

Outdoor Voices makes some of my most worn activewear. I have a few pairs of shorts from the brand, but I’ve never purchased these ones. I’m not sure why, as they look right up my alley. These days I prefer a short that's a little bit looser, and I especially like when they have a drawstring band up top because it helps me feel a bit more comfortable and secure. They’re simple, with a solid color design and no labeling, which is always my preference. The fabric is sweat wicking, which is a must since I’d wear them for working out, plus I love that it comes with pockets. They’re also a great length and 2.5-inches, since they cover what I need but aren’t drawing me in fabric. With the member discount, now’s the perfect time to pick up a pair.

Patagonia Better Sweater Quarter-Zip Fleece Pullover

REI

REI

This Patagonia sweater is another favorite of Sherman’s. As soon as she told me about it a month or two ago,I added one to my cart. “It has a casual look, but it's also polished, so I can wear it on long walks but also out to lunch without looking too dressed down. It’s great for layering under a lighter coat so I don't have to take out the bulky winter coat every time I want to go outside,” Sherman notes. It sounds perfect to me, especially for spring. There are some shades I like that are already on sale, like the green, but the one I’d want most is the black, which I’d want to use the member discount for.

Smartwool Hike Classic Edition Full Cushion Second Cut Crew Socks

REI

REI

When I am working out, whether inside or outside, a cushioned sock makes all the difference. The plush layer helps protect my feet from all of the movements in doing, whether I am walking through a local trail or using weights at the gym. Ever since Director Katie Macdonald recommended Smartwool socks, saying that they’re super soft and moisture-wicking, I’ve been looking for a pair of my own. This option is full cushion, and is made of 57% recycled fibers, which I love. The arch of the sock has some added support, and I find that those socks often feel the most secure when I am working out. I love both of the colors—purple and teal—and that they’re a good mid-height to cover my ankle on hikes.

Solo Stove Mesa XL Fire Pit

REI

REI

My parents own the regular Mesa from Solo Stove, and it’s a cute little fire pit that’s perfect for the tabletop. It’s great if you don’t want to fully commit to a fire pit on your patio or in your backyard, because you still get the perks—heat and fire to cook treats like s’mores—with none of the permanence. I think my ideal size would be this XL version, since its slightly bigger size (it’s 7 by 8.6 inches) will give a little extra heat and space for roasting. It has 360-degree air flow and emits smokeless fire, that way you don’t have itchy eyes or smokey-smelling clothes. Now’s a great time to grab it, since we still have some chillier nights ahead.

Teva Original Universal Sandals

REI

REI

Last but certainly not least are the sandals Newsletter Editor Allison Little swears by. “Living near the beach, I need shoes I can wear through sand, water and on the trails. I love that these sandals have multiple adjustable straps so I can easily get the perfect fit. Plus, points for being vegan and sustainable,” she notes. I’ve been looking for a new beach shoe, since I spend a lot of my time there starting mid-spring, and these might be just the ticket.
