Rehomed Honey Badger Being Released Back Into the Wild Is Too Funny
The honey badger may have a cute name, but really, they're anything but cute. They're aggressive, ferociously defensive, and have few predators. You really don't want to mess with them, which leads us to this honey badger who was being rehomed on the Selati Game Reserve in South Africa. He got a little disoriented when the volunteers let him out of the cage, and the video is hilarious!
@Selati Research Volunteers shared this funny video in August 2023, and I have watched it several times already. The music is the perfect accompaniment, too. They let one honey badger out and it goes exactly as expected...he runs for freedom. The other one? Not so much, and it is fun to watch!

The video went viral has been viewed more than 6 million times and has nearly 1,500 comments. Commenters had lots to say. @Battlebot12 said, "If you weren't expecting a honey badger to go gangster on someone you don't know honey badgers." @Abby Cadogan wonders, "I’m sorry did you miss the “honey badgers don’t care” era?! LOL!" @Naturally Onederous made me laugh with, "That was personal. That dude knows what he did lol"! @c.r.rebel laughed, "You know that badger needed his daily dose of violence!"
Well that definitely didn't go as planned, but it was funny to watch. My question really is why anybody would choose to stand in front of the cages. I definitely wouldn't want to be directly in front of a honey badger's line of sight!
