Marriott Bonvoy routinely publishes fun offers to help you squeeze more value from its loyalty program — from increased welcome bonuses on Marriott credit cards to awarding bonus points on stays.

Marriott just released a new promotion that offers 1,000 bonus points and double elite night credits for each night you stay between Feb. 13 and April 29, 2024. Let’s take a closer look at this promotion.

Earn bonus points and elite night credits for every night you stay with Marriott

With this new Marriott promotion, you’ll receive two elite night credits and 1,000 bonus points for every paid Marriott night you complete between Feb. 13 and April 29, 2024.

This gives you the opportunity to earn high-level elite status in half the time … and earn a fistful of bonus points while you’re at it. Bonus elite night credits and points are uncapped, so you can earn as much as you like within the 76-night promotional period.

That said, there are some terms and restrictions to keep in mind:

  • You must register for this promotion by April 15, 2024.

  • Registration must be completed before your first stay.

  • Only eligible paid stays will qualify (no award stays and no Cash + Points stays).

  • You must book directly with Marriott.

  • Stays with Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy®, St. Regis Residence Club®, Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection and several other specialty brands don’t qualify (read the terms here).

  • Only one room at one property per night counts toward your eligible paid nights for this promotion.

Marriott Bonvoy points are worth about 0.84 cents apiece, according to frequent-flyer website The Points Guy. This means that earning an extra 1,000 points is effectively an $8.40 bonus each night.

And the ability to earn double elite night credits is a huge deal for those sprinting toward Marriott elite status. Top-tier Platinum and Titanium statuses come with valuable perks like complimentary suite upgrades (when available), free hotel breakfast, bonus points on stays and much more.

Marriott credit cards make this promotion even better

If you hold a Marriott credit card, this promotion puts you within reach of high-level Marriott Bonvoy status tiers. That’s because many Marriott credit cards automatically give you between 15 and 25 elite night credits per calendar year:

Better yet, the elite nights from one personal and one business Marriott credit card stack. For example, you’ll earn 30 elite nights if you have the Bonvoy Boundless and Bonvoy Business cards. Or you’ll earn 40 nights if you have both the Bonvoy Brilliant and Bonvoy Business cards. You can earn up to 40 elite nights from Marriott credit cards in a year.

It’s also worth mentioning that the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless currently offers an increased welcome bonus of five Free Night Awards (each night valued up to 50,000 points) after you spend $5,000 on purchases in your first three months from your account opening.

Bottom line

When you register by April 15, 2024, you’ll earn an extra elite night credit and 1,000 bonus points per night on Marriott stays between Feb. 13 and April 29, 2024.

Even if you don’t think you’ll use this promotion, it’s wise to register anyway — just in case you find yourself unexpectedly checking into a Marriott hotel during the promotional period.
