Regina King is reminding those watching the 2020 Emmy Awards that the 2020 presidential election is right around the corner.

During her acceptance speech following her win for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Drama Series or Movie for her starring role in HBO's Watchmen, King urged viewers to remember the importance of having a voting plan as November nears.

"We've got to vote," declared King toward the end of her at-home speech. "I would be remiss not to mention that. Have a voting plan, go to ballotpedia.com. Vote up the ballot. Please go to ballotpedia.com and find out who are voting in your municipal elections. It is very important. Be a good human."

The actress also paid tribute to late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who passed away Friday evening at 87 years old from metastatic pancreatic cancer. Ginsburg was a vital voice and political influence over the decades and contributed to achieving strides toward equality within the women's rights movement up until her death.

"Rest in power RBG," mentioned King.

King's most notable statement wasn't in her winning speech, however, but instead worn on her person. The actress paired her hot-pink Schiaparelli pantsuit with a graphic T-shirt from Phenomenal with Breonna Taylor's image printed across the front. King has joined a number of notable celebrities—including Beyoncé, Solange, and Kerry Washington—who have demanded justice for the emergency medical technician's unjust death back in March.
