The new season of Netflix's Bridgerton is finally about to grace our screens, and its presence in the cultural lexicon is sure to impact the clothes we wear, the food we make, and the designs we choose for our homes. Most likely: It just might make you want a regencycore bathroom.

Bathroom interior expert at the UK-based Bathroom Deal, Warren Kinloch, said he's seeing this romantic aesthetic influence bathroom design.

"This trend embraces the elegance and luxury of the Regency era, [characterized] by soft, romantic colors and opulent details,” he said. “Picture deep royal blues, muted blush pinks, calming sage greens, and hints of gold. The key to the trend is creating a bathroom that feels both sophisticated and serene, a space worthy of a Bridgerton character.”

There are small upgrades you can make to transform your bathroom into a space worthy of the ton. Kinloch recommends swapping out your towels and hardware—the Bridgerton society loves a good gold accent. And, if you’re ready for an entire bathroom renovation, he suggests indulging in a luxurious clawfoot bathtub or another freestanding statement tub.

Beyond Kinloch’s tips, you can also choose a vintage-style shower curtain, add in more idyllic lighting, or simply bring in a speaker and turn on the show's soundtrack if you want to feel like you're getting ready for a ball. An oversized, statement mirror with a golden gilded frame is also a classic element.

What you know about getting the regencycore style in other rooms you can bring into the bathroom: Adding lots of soft pastels, gold accents, plants that love humidity, and natural lighting like candles all set the mood. If you’re considering adding wallpaper, consider floral patterns or patterns you might see embroidered on the dresses of Bridgerton characters. And if there are any furniture pieces you need for your bathroom, consider sourcing from vintage shops—particularly pieces that have an English style.

After all, why wouldn’t you want to live in the world of Bridgerton? Society paper gossip, balls, gowns—there's not an aesthetic out there that's more enchanting.
