Refresh your home for spring with these 15 home decor essentials

Spring has sprung, my friends. And with warmer weather on the horizon and Easter coming up fast, that means now is the time to get going on a spring refresh.

However, a good and deep spring clean can only go so far. Now that you've purged your winter clutter (Marie Kondo-style, of course!), it's time to transform all that empty space into a warm and inviting home with a few design hacks.

But where do we start? With color of course. We spoke with the Bright Bazaar's Will Taylor to get a lead on the spring design trends we should be looking out for. "Direct uses of colorful art lives on cushions, books and wall décor. It’s the perfect way to update and energize your home for the spring or summer, and an easy way to infuse a statement color," the design guru maintains.

He advises: "An easy way to incorporate bright colors for spring is to mix and match melamine plates in statement hues for a modern look. Don’t be afraid to incorporate the same main color in different shades – different variations of blue, for example, will create a lovely visual."

And while florals and playful prints are easy ways to add fun detailing to your home, Taylor also says galvanized metal decor "is turning up everywhere."

"I’m seeing metal accents popping in everything from the legs on chairs to a full bar cart. You don’t need to overhaul your furniture to add this latest trend to your home – champagne buckets, candles, and lanterns are all using this material and offer a great opportunity to layer this material of-the-moment into your home."

"With the amazing variety at Marshalls, you are bound to find the perfect metal accent piece to add to your home, and seamlessly incorporate this trend for a great price," the blogger concludes.
