Reese's Puffs Bats and Monster Cereals Are Back to Make Breakfasts Extra Spooky This Halloween

Just like the candy aisle, the cereal aisle will be getting a Halloween-themed makeover soon. General Mills is bringing back fan-favorite seasonal cereals for the spooky holiday. So grab your cereal bowl, and let's dig in!

First up, the Monster Cereals — Franken Berry, Boo Berry, and Count Chocula — are back for their nearly 50th year. Frank Berry features frosted cereal pieces with a strawberry flavor and monster-shaped marshmallows. Boo Berry also has a berry-flavored cereal with marshmallows, but their shape is inspired by your friendly neighborhood ghosts. Last in the trio is the main man himself, Count Chocula. This cereal features chocolatey cereal with bat-shaped chocolatey marshmallows.

Also back this year for a limited time will be Pumpkin Spice Cheerios. Everything is pumpkin spiced these days, so why not the beloved classic cereal Os? With notes of cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg, these spiced gluten-free Cheerios make for a great snack or are wonderful if used in a marshmallowy cereal bar in place of crispy rice pieces.

Lastly, returning for the third year, is Reese's Puffs Bats, bat-shaped remakes of the beloved Reese's Puffs cereal. Each bite is every bit as crispy-crunchy as the original corn cereal, but the bat shape lends a seasonal twist.

A mid-size box of these cereals will retail for $2.50; the larger family size will be $3.99. They'll start appearing on shelves this month, with peak availability in September and October.

All of these cereals are limited edition, so once they're gone from your store's shelves, they're gone for the year. Unless you want to buy some on eBay, where a set of the three Monster Cereals is selling for $25 right now.
