Reese Witherspoon's Team Shut Down Rumors That She's Dating Kevin Costner
The two actors filed for divorce from their respective spouses earlier this year.

Even before rumors could get out of hand, Reese Witherspoon's team is shutting down rumblings that she and fellow actor Kevin Costner are dating. Theories of a possible romance between the two were bubbling up online, but Witherspoon's representative issued a statement to People, saying, "This story is completely fabricated and not true." Today's statement comes after a similar story that connected Witherspoon with Tom Brady back in April. Sources close to the actress said that the two had never even met when that story was making headlines.
Witherspoon and her ex-husband, Jim Toth, announced that they were separating via a statement on Mar. 24, and the two were divorced later that month. Witherspoon's divorce came before a full-on wave of celebrity breakups that made the summer of 2023 an emotional rollercoaster for anyone following the love lives of the rich and famous.
"It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything we have created together," they said in a joint statement shared at the time. "Our biggest priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter. These matters are never easy and are extremely personal. We truly appreciate everyone's respect for our family's privacy at this time."

Costner separated from his wife, Christine, back on Apr. 11. They married in Sept. 2004.
“Kevin is relieved that this matter has been settled and will continue to focus solely on jointly raising their three children,” a source shared with People after the divorce was settled at the end of summer. The two share three children: Cayden, Hayes, and Grace.
