The actress celebrated her daughter's 23rd birthday with a heartfelt Instagram post on Friday.
Reese Witherspoon is ringing in her daughter's 23rd birthday with a special Instagram message.
The Legally Blonde actress, 46, wished her daughter, Ava Phillippe, a happy birthday via Instagram on Friday while sharing a sweet photo of the mother-daughter duo looking strikingly similar while posing in front of a gorgeous beach setting.
"Happy Birthday to my favorite daughter, Ava !! 🥰" the doting mom—who shares her only daughter with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe—quipped in the caption of her Instagram post.
"Every day that I get to watch you become the most amazing woman is such a gift," she continued. "Your gigantic heart, generous spirit, and endless creativity inspire me every day."
"I love you so much 💞💫🎂," she added.
Ava sent her mom a sweet message in return, writing in the comments on the post, "okay I know I'm biased but...you really do 'mom love' like no one else can. thank you for celebrating me as I am since day one. 💖"
"Also, I know I technically have to be your favorite daughter considering there's no competition...but I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing it! 🥹" she added.

In addition to Ava, Witherspoon is also mom to 18-year-old son Deacon, who she also shares with Phillippe, as well as son Tennessee James, 9, who she shares with her husband, Jim Toth.
Many of Witherspoon's famous celebrity friends took to the comments section to note how alike the mom and daughter looked in the snap, and also to say happy birthday to Ava.
Jonathan Van Ness commented, "mom daughter twins 😍❤️" while actress Julianne Moore chimed in, "Happy birthday Ava!!! ❤️"
Cindy Crawford also added a comment, writing, "Twinning! 🎂," underneath Friday's post.
Witherspoon later shared another photo of her look-alike daughter on her Instagram Story on Friday, along with a throwback pic from when Ava was just a young girl.
"Can't believe this little girl...is turning 23 today!" the Walk the Line star wrote. "Happy Birthday to the most wonderful daughter! I love you Ava!"
