Reese Witherspoon Reunites With Ryan Phillippe for Son's Party After Divorce Announcement

The actress was married to Phillippe from 1999 to 2008.

Reese Witherspoon is spending time with her family, including her first husband.

The Morning Show actress, 47, reunited with her Cruel Intentions costar and ex-husband, Ryan Phillippe, 48, over the weekend to celebrate the release of their son Deacon's new album. 

The Big Sky actor shared a slew of photos on Instagram from the event, writing, "Awesome night w family & friends celebrating the release of, “A New Earth” by @deaconphillippe !!" encouraging fans to “Stream, download, and listen to the album.”

The first snap in the carousel featured Phillippe posing with his 19-year-old lookalike son as they had their arms around each other. The actor rocked a plain white T-shirt with a red, black, and white knit sweater while Deacon donned a black shirt with a white checkered jacket on top.

The next photo captured Deacon posing for a snap with his mom–who announced her divorce last month–and 23-year-old sister Ava. The actress donned a sparkly red plaid jacket with jeans, while her mini-me rocked a green top that tied together in the front and black pants.

Last month, Witherspoon announced her divorce from her estranged husband, Jim Toth, in a now-deleted Instagram post.

"We have some personal news to share..." the screenshot of their joint statement began.

"It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything that we have created together."

The pair confirmed that their son, Tennessee Toth, 10—in addition to the rest of their family—is their biggest priority as they figure out everything that comes next.

"These matters are never easy and are extremely personal. We truly appreciate everyone's respect for our family's privacy at this time," they finished, signing the message from "Reese and Jim." 

Witherspoon married Phillippe in 1999 but the duo ultimately split in 2008. Three years later she married Toth. The pair announced their engagement in December of 2010, less than a year after they met by chance while hanging out at a mutual friend's house. They were married the next year, with Tennessee following shortly after in 2012.
