Reese Witherspoon Reflects on an Eventful 2022 With Instagram Recap Video

The actress is looking back on her busy year!

Reese Witherspoon is giving 2022 a proper goodbye with a video recapping her incredibly busy yet glamorous year.

Taking to her Instagram page, the actress set the footage to Zwindy Williams’ “And with that the 2022 season comes to an end” viral TikTok sound.

Then, in true Taylor Swift fashion, she broke up the year into “eras,” starting with her “dressing up my dog era,” which she noted lasted all year. Some of the videos and photos were of her French Bulldog dressed up as a pumpkin and in a festive holiday sweater to keep warm.

Next up was the “monochrome era,” documenting all the fabulous fashion the Big Little Lies alum wore throughout the year, including bright red, lilac, and teal pantsuits.

She then celebrated her “Busy Betty era,” with photos and videos from the promo of her published children’s book. In one shot, she can be seen promoting the book—which was published on October 4—with Jimmy Fallon during an appearance on his late night show.

Of course, we can’t forget about the “Morning Show era” as the star has been busy on set filming the Apple TV drama’s third season alongside co-star Jennifer Aniston. Photos in the Reel included her on the show’s news set, reading a script in her trailer, and celebrating the third season with a themed doughnut.

Witherspoon has been doing a significant amount of work behind the scenes with her production company Hello Sunshine. As part of her “producer era,” she included clips of herself attending the premieres of three of her projects, all based on novels, that made it to both the big and small screens this year—Where the Crawdads Sing, Surface, and Something From Tiffany’s.

The actress ended the video on a lighter note, poking fun at her “eating on the internet era,” as the clips saw her munching on a variety of delicious foods like a rainbow cake and what looked to be marshmallows.

She also made a resolution in the caption of the post, promising to deliver more grade-A content in the new year: “I solemnly swear to keep eating on the Internet in 2023 😋”

Plenty of other celebrities have jumped on the recap trend as the year comes to a close, including Kelsea Ballerini and Rebel Wilson and her partner Ramona Agruma.
