Time and time again, Reese Witherspoon continues to prove her family genes are stronger than ever. (Exhibit A: Her eldest children, Deacon and Ava, practically look like carbon copies of their mother.)

The Morning Show actress posted a snapshot of a novel by Cheryl Strayed and an old photo of her Grandma Dorothea. In the rare photograph, she appears to be rocking a timeless Shirley Temple hairstyle (with her hair in a half-up style) with a white button-down shirt. Looking at the photograph, we can’t help but notice the striking resemblance between the actress and her grandmother. (Twinning, much?)

The book is sitting in front of the black-and-white photo, and it’s opened to a page with an inspirational quote. It reads, “The thing about rising is we have to continue upward; the thing about going beyond is we have to keep going.”

In the past, Witherspoon has shared countless pics and vids with her three children—further proving that her family genes are simply unmatched. Back in August, the Legally Blonde alum posted a snapshot with her son, Deacon, and it was like looking at a real doppelgänger. In the photo, the mother-son duo was all smiles as they shared an embrace.

Just a month prior, the Big Little Lies actress shared a photo of her daughter Ava enjoying a mini beach vacay on Instagram. The mother and daughter are practically indistinguishable in the first picture, where they wore similar summer ensembles. “Love sharing sunsets with my girl,” she wrote in the caption. “Esp when she fixes my makeup.”

Reese’s family genes > everything.
