Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern Indulge in 'Gross' Christmas Cocktail Together in TikTok Video

Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern are embodying every set of BFFs in a new video shared by the former on TikTok.

The Big Little Lies costars offered their own interpretation of a popular trend across the social media app often referred to as the Negroni trend, and the internet couldn't be more delighted by the duo's antics. 

The trend involves the use of an audio posted on HBO Max's TikTok account in which House of the Dragon star Olivia Cooke asks costar Emma D'Arcy, "What's your drink of choice?"

"A Negroni," D'Arcy replies.

"I was going to say the same thing," Cooke admits, but D'arcy wasn't done yet. 

"Sbagliato," D'Arcy adds, pausing for dramatic effect before continuing, "With Prosecco in it.”

"Oooh, stunning!" Cooke says.

The video goes on, but that's where other users cut in with their own videos, which sometimes involve the creator telling on themselves for a choice that they know may not be the best, or fantasizing about their ideal job, home, car, and more.

The two blondes took a more literal approach, as others have done, taste-testing a Negroni for themselves.

"Christmas Cocktails with Dern 🥂❤️🎄," the Legally Blonde actress captioned the humorous video posted to TikTok, which found Witherspoon sitting with a drink in her hand with Dern standing next to her.

The two changed up the script a bit, with Dern asking curiously, "What are you drinking?" as Witherspoon took a sip.

"A Negroni," she said.

"Ooooh," Dern hummed while Witherspoon hurried to add, "Sbagliato! With a spot of Prosecco in it." She seemed to be mimicking D'Arcy's English accent.

As Dern laughed in response, Witherspoon offered her a taste.

"That's disgusting!" Dern decided immediately, handing it back and causing the man behind the camera to laugh.

Witherspoon couldn't help but join in, admitting through laughter, "It is kind of gross!"

Some followers were disappointed with the adjustments, with one writing, "The fact that Laura didn’t say 'ooo stunnin' hurt my feelings."

"I can attest that it is indeed not stunning 😣," one said, while another added, "everybody I've seen try it say it's bad 😂"

"Laura Dern speaking the truth as always," the comments continued. 

Someone eventually suggested to "use quality vermouth and it’s a whole different flavor palette."

But most were just glad to see the two having a good time together.

"I’d die for these two women, I would," one comment read.

"Why do I want a Christmas movie with Dern and Reese as a couple?" another put out into the world.

"Seeing you two together got me hopeful for season 3 of Big Little Lies🥰🥰 maybe? I love that series 🥰🥰," another wrote hopefully.

And, of course, someone had to come in and make the "Reese WitherNegroni**" joke, and that honor goes to the official Coach account.
