Reese Witherspoon just announced a split from her husband of 12 years, Jim Toth, but she's no stranger to doing it on her own. After all, she has played powerful female characters on the big (and small) screen for years. Divorces can sometimes be pretty pricey, but it looks like these two will be "moving forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for everything we have created together," according to a joint statement, published by People.

Plus, the divorce probably won't affect the actress' net worth because she's doing just fine in the finance department. I mean, Reese has had a pretty impressive career so far. From her role on The Morning Show to her upcoming project, Legally Blonde 3, she's at the top of her acting game. Reese's newest rom-com, Your Place or Mine?, hit Netflix in early 2023, racking in more fame and dough.

Reese, 47, has been in the acting biz for quite some time now–32 years to be exact–and that’s not her only way of making cash.

The actress is a total girl boss with several side hustles to keep her busy when she’s not on set. She started her own media company, Hello Sunshine, which she sold in 2021 for a massive chunk of change. On top of all of that, she’s also a producer and owns her own clothing line.

However, in 2016, the pair split and Reese renamed the company Hello Sunshine.

"Hello Sunshine is deeply committed to creating content that will reach women where they spend time, whether it is at a movie theater, at home or on their mobile device. On August 2, 2021, Reese announced that Hello Sunshine had been sold for around $900 million to a media company backed by the private-equity firm Blackstone Inc, and that it would be run by former Disney executives Kevin Mayer and Tom Staggs, per CNBC.

"Today, we’re taking a huge step forward by partnering with Blackstone, which will enable us to tell even more entertaining, impactful and illuminating stories about women’s lives globally. I couldn’t be more excited about what this means for our future," Reese said.

She'll still have an 18% ownership stake in the company and should collect around $120 million from the sale, per Forbes.

And she still has plenty of other side projects.

As if all of that wasn't enough to keep Reese busy, she's also written a New York Times bestselling memoir, Whiskey In A Teacup. She has her own book club and an app to go along with it.
